Excelsior was founded in southern New Jersey by three homeschooling mothers who shared a passion for Christian Classical and Charlotte Mason methodologies, and who wanted to provide a group environment for such. After much research and prayer, Excelsior classes for children up through grade six were formed in the fall of 2010. We use a variety of resources to design the curriculum, which includes memory work, Veritas Press timeline cards, geography, hands on history, science, literature studies, writing, music appreciation and art.
Excelsior continues to provide a challenging yet fun academic environment because of all the great families that belong to this group. We give God all of the glory as we watch these children grow and challenge themselves for His purpose.
